CEU Requirements: NJ-NJDEC

READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY: Beginning November 1, 2020, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) requires a picture of the attendee holding a government-issued photo ID before the start of a course.  Before starting every course, e-mail a picture of yourself holding your government-issued photo ID to [email protected].  One picture per course.  Do not send pictures of an ID only.  Picture and e-mail time stamps must match the course's start time.  Pictures sent after a course is started cannot be accepted and attendance in the course will not be reported.

The NJDEP requires that you spend a minimum of 50 minutes in each course and pass the final quiz with a score of at least 70% correct answers to earn continuing education units (CEUs).

Pesticide applicators may only earn 25% of the required certification credits through online courses, 2 Core credits and 4 credits for each category certification.  Credits earned beyond these limits may not be accepted by the state.

Your date of birth is required in order to report your course attendance to the NJDEP.  Make sure your date of birth is entered with your NJ license information in ProTraining before attempting to complete online courses.
