PEST INSPECTOR (BRANCH 3)

CoreSpect Inspection Services is seeking a motivated and driven individual who is currently licensed as a Branch III Field Representative in California and experienced with Real Estate termite inspections. You will have the opportunity to help drive the growth of our Termite business. The perfect candidate will also be able to hire and train: WDO Inspectors (Branch 3), Applicators, and other technicians. You'll receive competitive pay (salary + commission), health benefits, a 401(k) program with matching, and a fuel card. As a Branch 3 Termite/WDO Sales Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting residential and commercial structures to and accurately identifying termites, fungus, and other wood-destroying organisms. You will calculate the severity of infestations and the extent of structural damage, and provide recommendations for control and repair. You will also be responsible for writing reports and creating diagrams and graphs to document your findings. These inspections are primarily for real estate transactions which require accurate identification of Section I and Section II items as well as other findings relevant to the interested parties in the transaction. Complete inspections, not limited searches for WDO activity in crawlspaces etc. You will need to be detailed and thorough but you can gain efficiency by mastering our software to make your job easier! Key Responsibilities: • Physically inspecting a variety of residential and commercial structures to determine the presence of termites, fungus, and other wood-destroying organisms; calculating the severity of infestations and the degree of structural damage. • Writing reports which include findings and recommendations using the current version of the CoreSpect WDO Code Book. • Authoring notes, findings, and recommendations when the code book is not specific to an uncommon situation. • Creating diagrams and graphs indicating the type, degree, and location of infestations. • Determining the costs, estimating the crew time, and scheduling work. • Coordinating with the crewperson to ensure that jobs are done legally, professionally, and within specifications. • Maintain any company-issued equipment in a clean condition at all times. • Ability to use your own vehicle for work (preferred) Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Familiarity with construction methods and terminology • Knowledge of current rules and regulations enacted by various governmental agencies • Familiarity with all types of wood-destroying organisms and the damage they cause Job Requirements: • Branch III Field Rep License (required) • You will need to pass a pre-employment background and DMV check • You must possess a valid driver's license • You must be able to operate common hand-held carpenter tools • Use and maintain the safety equipment including bump caps, gloves, goggles, respirators, eye washers, and first aid kits. Education and Licensing: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Branch III Field Representative license from the State of California and a Structural Pest Control Board license is expected to start or must be acquired within 90 days of hire or as soon as possible depending upon testing windows and availability; must attend regularly scheduled training sessions to maintain the license.
