VIRGINIA COURSE COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS FOR RECERTIFICATION
Completion of six courses during the year, as outlined below:

Category 3-B (Turf Pest Control) #18-24-012
  • The three following courses:
    • Weed Management: The Basics
    • Weed Management: The Herbicides
    • Aphids & Their Relatives
    • Turf Insect Pests
  • Insecticide Application: Equipment & Simple Calculations (required)
  • Any two courses from the following:
    • Understanding Pesticides: How They Work and May Affect You

    • Integrated Pest Management and the Green Movement
    • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    • Mites of Public Health Importance
    • Mosquito Management for PMPs
    • Flies That Feed On Us
  • Insecticide Application: Equipment & Simple Calculations (required)
  • Any two courses from the following:

    • An In-Depth Look at Pesticide Labels & SDS

Registered Technicians (Category 60, #18-60-032) should fulfill the category requirements above as appropriate for their work area.

VDACS requires you to spend a minimum of 50 minutes in each course and pass the final exam with at least 70% correct answers in order to receive continuing education credit.  Continuing education credit will only be given for one course completed in a 50 minute period.
