Oklahoma Unwanted Pesticide Disposal in November, 2011

The Oklahoma Dept. of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry will offer two dates in November, 2011 for anyone to dispose of unwanted pesticides of any kind. These collections are an important means for properly eliminating pesticides of any kind so that they do not end up in the general environment. The collection is open to anyone - homeowners, ranchers, nurseries, and pesticide applicators and will accept any pesticides at no cost under 2,500 lbs, a $1 charge for collections over 2,500 lbs, and $2.22 for materials containing mercury. The dates are Nov. 15th at the Pontotoc County Fairgrounds in Ada, OK, and Nov. 17th at the Apache Farmers Co-op in Apache, OK - 8 AM to 1 PM at each location.
