Do What Is Necessary
Would it be recommended or necessary to drill holes every 12 inches in front of a metal garage door? Peers have suggested that a proper subterranean termite service would include 12" on center holes with label rate Termidor injection in front of the garage door. However, there is no wood present at this location, so would this be considered an over-application? Any feedback would be greatly ...

No Law of Attraction Between Wood and Termites
We use the cellulose and wood stake monitor. Will anything other than termites eat the cellulose in a termite monitor and cause a false alarm? Also, a customer asked why we put them so close. He has a family member in pest control and they say that the monitors will actually cause termites because they are attracted to them. Is this true?

Now You See Them, Where Else?
I have a customer with drywood termites in the bottom of some cabinets. What would be the best course of action. I thought of just removing the infested bottoms.

Drywoods Local Treating
I have found Drywood Termite frass at four different locations around the exterior perimeter of a home with wood siding. Would the proper treatment be to drill near the kickout holes and inject Premise? I am asking because the label tells me that this should not be the only means of treatment. I am unsure what other types of treatments are needed. Thank you for your advice.

Got Wings, Barely Fly
We all know that drywood termites have their short swarming flights in search of light, but how short are they really? Ten meters, one kilometer? Thank you and have a good day.

Old Home Remedies
An old timer was asking me about "white washing" barns with lime used for greening up lawns. The question is, does it help with bug control and does it have any effects specifically on termites?

Using Premise Granules
I am confused about the proper use of Premise Granules. Is its intended application for a 2-yr perimeter treatment in the same 6" band that I would otherwise apply Termidor (in trench, of course)? Or can I just put it into my Scott's spreader and broadcast it where wood piles, etc. could see potential termite activity? And, how long do I need to water it into the soil to be an effective applica...

Termite Love Changes
In the Southern urban landscape it seems Subterranean Termite activity is on the decrease. Is it possible there is a correlation between this decrease and the success of unicolonial ant species? I can't ever recall finding a Subterranean Termite infestation on a structure in which the surrounding land was overrun by Crazy Ants.

Termite Timing
I work on a military installation and one of our program requirements is to inspect our facilities for termites and wood decay infestations annually. My question is since this is an annual requirement what is the ideal time to perform our inspections? In my experience the best time of year to perform these inspections would be from April to around November. We have had a few active problems in ...

Termites - Picky Eaters
I've recently sold and installed Sentricon HD systems at two houses. One of the houses had no activity on the stations, but termites were still active in mud tubes in the crawlspace. I moved a couple of the AG stations to the active tubes. Should I be worried that the termites haven't started feeding on the bait or is it too early to tell?
