My question concerns the tearing up of divots from the lawn. These weren't furrows from skunks, but actual divots. I have seen black birds doing this, but wonder if any other wildlife would as well. Would it be because of grubs in the lawn or other insects?

I have customer whose lawn has several round dead patches, and I am puzzled. I pulled up some of the grass and it had a very bad smell. A closer look at the soil showed some of what looked to be silver/white maggots about 1/16 to 1/8 of a inch long. Flies seemed to be atracted to the areas where the odor was the strongest.
The patches were 4 to 6 inches in diameter and infecting about 2 square...

Is there a preventive fungicide I can apply on lawns at this time of year to help prevent the fungus issues I am experiencing currently with all of this rain we get everyday in Florida? I would like to know what you recommend to help prevent fungus if possible, and how to deal with it effectively once it establishes in a lawn. Examples could be a leaf spot fungus or brown patch in St. Augustine...

Recently I've been seeing a very large amount of small gray insects taking over my customers' lawns. They don't appear to have any wings, and later in the day close to sundown they are everywhere. I was told that they were called "false fitch" I have never heard of this pest before. HELP!
